Hello, Friend! If you are anything like me, you enjoy the hunt for a good deal. One of the best deals I've found over the years is the bank signup bonus. Many financial institutions will offer bonus promotions, typically when you open an account with them and meet certain (usually easy) requirements. They get motivated new customers to try their services, you get a bit of cash, everyone wins. Sometimes, these promotions require a referral (and/or a referral code will get you an extra bonus). That's where this page comes in.

Below are my referral links/codes, along with instructions on how to earn the bonus. General Tips

• Always use the same email address to register for the promotion and apply for the account (otherwise they can't track the bonus back to you).

BANK/CREDIT UNION REFERRALS

Advia CU - up to $200 bonus when you join using my referral link and complete activities within 90 days of establishing membership: $50 bonus when you reach Advantage Plus status on a checking account (their Advantage Plus accounts offer 5% apy on checking balances over $500 and up to $5k, and 3.5% apy on savings balances of $10k+ with monthly checking activities- you only need to meet the requirements for one calendar month within your first 90 days to earn the bonus, and there is no monthly fee or minimum balance on the account), another $50 bonus when you accrue new aggregate deposits of $10k+, and/or another $100 bonus when you obtain a personal loan of $5k+. Referral bonus currently limited to Illinois and Michigan residents.

Ally - $100 bonus when you enroll in an offer using my link, then open the enrolled product within 30 days of enrolling. The easiest option is probably the savings bonus; you just have to enroll in the savings offer using the link, then open a savings account and (using Ally's online banking platform) set up recurring monthly transfers within 30 days of opening, which continue for at least three total months (at least 3 total monthly back-to-back transfers). There is no minimum amount per transfer, you just need them to happen every month for at least three months.

Arizona Central CU - $100 referral bonus available (on top of their up to $500 new member checking bonus) when you fill out a coupon with my info and provide it to them during account opening, then meet the new member bonus requirements within 60 days of opening a new membership: (1) $500+ monthly payroll direct deposit (you need $1k+/month for the higher bonus), (2) sign up and remain enrolled in eStatements, and (3) make at least 15 debit card transactions totaling at least $100 per month. You need to continue all three requirements for at least six months after starting them to keep the full bonus. They are fussy about referrals and we will each have to provide the other person's info to them for the bonus to track. Please email me if you're interested in this offer. They may be more strict about membership qualification than they used to be; you may have to prove you live or work in Arizona to qualify.

BCU - $25 bonus when you open a membership using my referral link and deposit at least $25 in the first 15 days after opening. You can also earn a boosted rate (up to 8% apy on balances up to $15k) for the first three full calendar months after opening when you open a PowerPlus checking account and complete monthly requirements (enrolled in eStatements, 30 debit card transactions per month, and $3k+ electronic deposits per month to earn the highest rate- the electronic deposit(s) do not need to be direct deposit and does not need to be payroll- you can use mobile check deposit, ACH transfer from another bank, etc). (The rate is in effect during the month you open membership plus the next three full calendar months, so if you establish membership toward the start of a calendar month, you can get nearly four months at 8%.) Membership is available nationwide through a free subscription to Life. Money. You.

Blue FCU - $50 mastercard gift card when you register using my referral link then become a member and open a new eligible personal checking account and complete the following within 90 days of account opening: (1) complete one or more direct deposits of $500 or more each, (2) enroll in eStatements, and (3) keep the account in good standing. Eligible account options are Nova Perks Elite, Nova Perks Premium, or Basic checking.

BluPeak CU - $75 bonus when you join using my promo code (email me, I have to fill out a form that will generate an email for you) and open a checking account and another savings account (savings, money market, or term certificate are all eligible), and receive at least two direct deposits totaling $500 or more within 90 days of account opening.

Christian Community CU - $50 gift card when you register using my referral link then establish a new membership with a deposit, loan, or credit card account and keep the account open and in good standing for 60 days. This is a ReferLive offer, so should stack with any other bonus promotions they may offer.

Delta Community CU - $50 bonus when you register using my link, then use the code they email to open a checking account and complete the following within 60 days of account opening: (1) fund the checking account with at least $50, and (2) complete ten or more debit card transactions.

DCU - $20 bonus when you use my link to open a membership and complete one of the following qualifying activities: (1) open a DCU checking account and add a payroll direct deposit of $500 or more per calendar month; (2) open a DCU checking account and complete at least five qualifying transactions (these include debit/credit card transactions, ACH transfers, Point-of-Sale transactions, bill pay payments, balance transfers to your DCU credit card, and/or Pay a Person transactions) within the same calendar month; or (3) open a vehicle, RV, boat, or mobility loan (purchase or refinance). It's not a very big bonus, but their Primary Savings (required to establish membership) offers an attractive 5.5% apy on balances up to $1k without any additional requirements.

Farmers Insurance Group FCU (FIGFCU) - up to $100 bonus when you join FIGFCU (email me, I need to fill out a form to generate a referral email for you). Get $50 when you open a checking account with a direct deposit of $1k+ per month for two consecutive months (the first ACH deposit must post within 45 days of joining the credit union), plus another $50 when you open any savings or certificate account with minimum $10k deposit for two consecutive months (must be new money within 10 days of joining the credit union). The direct deposit does not need to be employer payroll; any ACH should work to trigger the checking bonus.

First Florida CU - $50 gift card when you register using my referral link then complete one of the available offers (currently, either establish a recurring direct deposit of $250 or more per deposit into a new First Florida checking account within 90 days of joining, or establishing a new loan within 90 days of joining). This is a ReferLive offer, so should stack with any other bonus promotions they may offer.

FitnessBank - no current offer, previous offers ended 12/31/24.

Great Lakes CU (GLCU) - $25 gift card when you open using my referral (email me if you're interested in this one, I need to fill out a form which should generate an email for you). This might also stack with the Raisin promotion, as they apparently open a GCLU membership in your name (I separately have a membership with GLCU so am not sure how well this one tracks/if you receive a proper member number and can separately establish online banking). The rate isn't as good as some of the other Raisin savings offerings, but if you can throw a few dollars at it, might be worth attempting to stack.

KeyPoint CU - up to $500 bonus when you open using my referral link (email me, I need to fill out a form to generate a referral email) and code RAF25 and my name (again, email me) and complete account requirements: $300 checking bonus ($50/month for up to six months) when you open a checking account and set up payroll direct deposits totaling at least $1k/month starting within 60 days of account opening (direct deposits must be payroll, and they must continue for six consecutive months- if you drop payroll early, you'll forfeit any additional bonuses and cannot resume them to earn the remaining bonuses); $100 certificate bonus when you open a 5-month or 12-month certificate with at least $25k of new money; and/or $100 loan bonus when your auto or personal loan is funded.

Lake Michigan CU (LMCU) - $100 bonus when you register using my referral link and open a checking account and hold two or more recurring direct deposits of $500 or more each for 60 days.

Langley FCU - $50 bonus when you register using my link to generate a unique referral code, then use that referral code to open a membership and complete one of the following within the first 60 days: (1) open a new personal checking account and make 10 debit card transactions, OR (2) have any loan with a balance, OR (3) have at least $1k aggregate total in savings accounts. The checking or savings options will likely be easiest for people to meet, no direct deposit is required.

Laurel Road - up to $200 bonus when you use my link to open a high-yield savings account and fund with at least $1 by day 20 after opening and increase your deposit to $5k ($50 bonus), $15k  ($100 bonus), or $30k ($200 bonus) by the 90th day after opening.

Michigan State University FCU (MSUFCU) - $25 bonus when you open a membership using code EM479A7BAB587A and open a checking account, active your debit card within 30 days of opening, and make 10 debit card purchases within 30 days of card activation.

Municipal CU (New York) - $25 bonus when you use my link to open a new Everyday Hero checking account. Should stack with additional promotions if they have any going.

OnPath FCU - $100 visa gift card when you register using my referral link then open a personal or business checking account and complete the following activities within 60 days of account opening: (1) make 15 or more debit card transactions of $10 or more each (excludes ATM transactions), and (2) have one or more direct deposit(s) totaling at least $250. OnPath has the best high-yield checking rates I've seen (7% apy on balances up to $10k with monthly activities), and the account has no minimum balance and no monthly fee. This is a ReferLive offer, so should stack with any other bonus promotions they may offer.

On Tap CU - $150 bonus when you use my link to open a membership (use promo code CHECKING150 and my referral code code SUSANSCHOM41 during account opening to receive the bonus) to open a checking account and within 90 days of account opening: (1) establish payroll direct deposits of $500 per month (must be maintained for six months after opening) and (2) complete ten debit card transactions.

Premier Members Credit Union (PMCU) - $50 bonus each for referring/referred when you open their Money Market account (currently offering 4% APY on the first $2k in balances)- use my referral link to apply and enter code MXMUWYACC during the application process. It's a super easy bonus, they're a great credit union to bank with, the 4% interest without any strings is fairly competitive at the moment, and membership eligibility is available nationwide with a charitable donation.

PSECU - $300 bonus when you apply for membership using my link and promo code 300REFER and within 100 days of establishing membership: (1) be approved for at least one savings and one checking account with debit card, (2) sign up and log in to online or mobile digital banking, (3) set up and receive two payroll direct deposits of $500 or more into either the new savings or checking account. This used to be a hard pull on credit but I understand they've recently made it a soft pull only (they also pull ChexSystems). They also occasionally offer additional bonuses for existing members, so it's worth hanging onto this account/membership once it's opened.

Raisin - up to $200 bonus when you use code susans063095 to register for Raisin and make a $5k+ deposit in your first 30 days, then hold the deposit for another 90 days. $50 bonus for $5k+ initial deposit, $100 bonus for $10k+ initial deposit, $150 bonus for $50k+ initial deposit, or $200 bonus for $100k+ initial deposit. It is possible to stack this bonus with portal bonuses when they're offered; to stack them, visit the Raisin site, activate the relevant banner button, then enter my code susans063095 when you get to the promo code page on the application. Be sure to read the terms of all offers you're trying to stack to ensure you can meet all requirements before attempting to stack.

SecurityPlus FCU - $50 amazon gift card when you register using my link then open a valid checking account, enroll in digital banking, and set up a qualifying (payroll) direct deposit of $200 or more per deposit within 60 days. Note that they do seem to require employer payroll or other third-party income  for the direct deposits; I had trouble getting it added to payroll in time and missed out when I joined (be sure if your employer needs you to specify checking or savings that you use a checking slot so it doesn't get rejected).

SoFi - get $25 when you use my link to open checking and savings with a $50 minimum deposit within 21 days of opening. They also have a direct deposit bonus when you set up payroll direct deposit (which also qualifies you for SoFi Plus perks like double rewards points). (Note that for SoFi, you can only get one referred new member bonus across all their products, so choose wisely.)

Tower FCU - $150 mastercard gift card when you register using my link and open a new Tower checking account with a recurring (payroll) direct deposit of $1k+ per deposit within 90 days of opening. The referral offer is only available to residents of Maryland or the surrounding states (DC, DE, PA, VA, and WV) or Department of Defense personnel and their family (they won't honor the bonus otherwise). This is a ReferLive offer, so should stack with any other promotions they have.

Transportation FCU - $25 bonus available (email me if you're interested, I need to fill out a form with our details) when I register your details and you open a membership using promo code TOGETHER during account opening. They have some nice rewards checking accounts, you can earn either 5.5% apy on balances up to $25k or receive 6% cash back on up to $200 monthly spend when you meet monthly requirements.

Upgrade - no current offers but they have offered checking and savings bonuses in the past.

Wings CU - $50 visa gift card when you register using my referral link and then open a new personal checking account and complete the following within 60 days of establishing membership: (1) set up eDocuments, and either (2a) complete one direct deposit of $1k or more, or (2b) complete five debit card transactions of $25 or more each (excludes ATM transactions). This is a super easy bonus, and since it's a ReferLive offer, it should also stack with any other bonus promotions they may offer.

CREDIT CARD REFERRALS

Discover Card - $100 bonus each for referring/referred when you use my link to apply for a credit card and make a purchase in the first 3 months after opening. I have their It card (which offers 5% cash back on the first $1,500 spent in rotating quarterly categories, plus 1% back on everything else). Discover also offers a first-year match of all cash back earned on their card, which (I believe) should be available when using the referral link.

Capital One (Savor Card) - $150 bonus for referred when you use my link to apply for a credit card and are approved. You must be a new (first-time) Capital One credit card customer (can't already/previously have a Capital One card). They're currently offering a $200 bonus for new Savor cardholders who spend $500 in the first three months after opening. The Savor card offers 3% cash back on grocery stores, dining, entertainment, and streaming, with 1% back on everything else.

Chase Freedom Cards - $50 bonus for referred when you use my link to apply for a Chase Freedom (Flex, Unlimited, or Rise) or Slate Edge card. The Freedom Unlimited card (flat 1.5% cash back on everything) is currently offering a $250 bonus when you spend $500 in the first three months after opening. The Freedom Flex (5% back on the first $1,500 spent in rotating quarterly categories, plus 1% back on everything else) is currently offering a $200 bonus when you spend $500 in the first three months after opening. Both Freedom cards also offer 3% back on dining and drugstores, and 5% back on travel purchased through the Chase Travel portal. I've had both of these cards for years. I'm less familiar with the other two cards- Freedom Rise appears to be a secured version of the Freedom Unlimited card (1.5% cash back on purchases) and the Slate Edge card offers an 18-month 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers. Be sure to confirm the current offer details and pricing on the promo page before you open the card.

BROKERAGE REFERRALS

FINTECH REFERRALS

CashApp - get $5 when you sign up using my link (referral code BBLRTPK) and link a new bank account and send $5.

Chime - get $100 when you enroll using my link and receive a payroll direct deposit of $200 or more within 45 days of opening. This can stack with portal bonuses- click through their page to activate the promotion, then paste my link into the browser. Be sure to meet all requirements for all promotions.

FutureCard - get $15 when you sign up for FutureCard using my link and spend your first $50 on the card. This debit card offers 5% back on utilities, public transit, thrift/secondhand, and other eco-friendly purchases, offers frequent bonuses (like spend $5 at cafes, get $5 back), and funds in your account earn 4.1% apy. FutureCard is a FinTech but the deposited funds are FDIC insured through a partner bank.

OnePay - they appear to be revamping their referral program since they rebranded in March 2025, new code/link coming soon (hopefully).

PayPal - get $10 when you sign up using my link, link your bank account or card, and send at least $5 within 30 days of signup.

Venmo - get $5 when you use my link to sign up and send $5 from a linked payment method within 14 days of signing up. (You may want to email me for a fresh link, the fine print includes a detail that you have to sign up within 14 days of the referral link being created).

PORTALS AND OTHER BONUSES

Aven Advisor (Financial Wellness) - get $5 when you use my promo code SS25SR2ARJ to sign up. If you are a homeowner, they also have an ongoing weekly promotion where you can receive a free $5 Starbucks gift card each week your credit score is over 700.

BeFrugal (Portal) - $10 for referred when you use my link to sign up for cash back.

Capital One Shopping (Portal) - coming soon

Rakuten (Portal) - $30 when you use my link to sign up and make a purchase of $30 or more within 90 days of signup. In my experience, Rakuten has been the easiest of the portals to work with so far; offers usually track properly, and if they don't, their customer support has been helpful in honoring promotions.

Swagbucks (Portal) - 300 SB ($3) when you use my link to sign up and earn 300 SB during your first 30 days.

TopCashBack (Portal) - use my link and earn $10 or more in cash back within 180 days of signup.

Debbie (Rewards App) - get $10 in rewards when you use my link to sign up for Debbie. Must have an account with one of their partner credit unions (Lafayette FCU, University FCU-TX, ELGA CU, Community Financial CU-MI, or MSUFCU). Debbie is a financial wellness app that encourages you to save money, pay off debt, and learn about finances. You earn cash rewards for completing weekly lessons and monthly savings/debt payoff goals (minimum redemption is $50- I've been using the app since December 2024 and am already nearing my second cashout). The more you use the app/the longer you keep streaks alive, the higher your points/rewards get.

Kudos (Rewards/Portal) - up to $20 for each of referring/referred when you use my link and referral code SUSAN_KUDOS_205899 and use the Kudos app/browser extension to make a purchase of $30 or more (earn $2.50 when you complete your first purchase on any site, earn an extra $17.50 when you complete your first purchase on a Kudos Boost store). Kudos is a browser extension/app that helps you manage and optimize credit/debit card rewards. You tell the app what cards you have in your wallet, and the app lets you know which card offers the best rewards for each merchant/category. If you input card numbers, it will auto-fill them in the browser at checkout, too. When shopping online, the app/browser extension suggests a card to use at checkout based on the site you're visiting (for example, when checking out at a drugstore, it will suggest the card in your wallet that offers the highest rewards on drugstore purchases). It also has a "hidden perks" feature that lists out which cards in your wallet offer which benefit (for example, mobile phone protection, trip cancellation coverage, or extended warranty).

Pepper (Rewards) - $20 for referred when you spend $200 in your first 15 days with referral code 618273 at signup. Earn points you can redeem for gift cards.

SoFi (Rewards) - get $10 when you use my link to sign up for free credit score monitoring with SoFi. (Note that for SoFi, you can only get one referred new member bonus across all their products, so choose wisely.)

PERSONAL LOANS

SoFi - get up to $1,000 when you use my referral link to get a personal loan ($300 bonus), private student loan ($300 bonus), student loan refi ($300 bonus), or medical student loan refi ($1,000 bonus).
